On a day where optimism was at it’s highest, a deal was not made. Reports have shown that the players are still at 52% while the owners are looking at 50%. This is frustrating because I have spoke with a few people that have said something along the lines of “It’s only 2 %”. Well I would like to say the same thing, but 2% is a large sum of money…millions. On top of everything they have decided to cancel all games through November 30th.

So the talks tonight were that the two sides are within striking distance. Stern has said that tomorrow they will be pushing to get a deal done. There is no word on where the split number is but it is rumored to be 52.5 percent.
